It is true that some Charismatics pursue the more peripheral spiritual experiences because they are more dramatic. But holy laughter and barking like dogs (an experience associated with the Toronto blessing, a movement in the Protestant Church) should not be seen as charisms, but rather as spiritual phenomena, subject to rules of discernment.
