Problems people claim to have with the Renewal
The person asserts that the focus should be on becoming holy before exercising charisms
While this sounds good, it is not God's approach. Because we could never reach a level of holiness that is "good enough" in God's eyes. Peter preaches on the day of Pentecost and thousands are brought into the kingdom, but later on he has to be rebuked by Paul for his wrong behavior. Fortunately for all of us, God does not require some minimal level of holiness in us in order to be used by Him. God is so committed to giving Himself to the whole world that He uses very unclean vessels to do so. Sure, He wants us to be more and more holy; and almost all Charismatics know that and are trying to pursue holiness.
