The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. Now if we are children then we are heirs- heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.

Consider this! The Holy Spirit shines light on the person of Jesus. He does that work through us. "It is not by might, nor by power, but it is by My Spirit, says the Lord (Zech. 4:6)." Our task is to listen to the Spirit and speak His words of life to others. This requires a willingness to listen to the prompting of the Holy Spirit and to have boldness to speak. How do we gain such understanding and courage? By familiarity with God's Word and the times of prayer and communion spent with Him.

Personal Reflection

1. Do you feel aided by the Spirit when you speak about Jesus? If so, describe what that means.
2. If not, stop and pray, and ask God to give you spiritual insight and ability to understand the prompting of the Holy Spirit when He comes.
3. What confidence do you have that God does the work even when you are not confident?

Prayer
Lord, give me clarity of mind and conviction of Spirit when you call on me to share my faith with others. By the power of your Spirit allow me to see You ignite the gospel of Christ in my friends and loved ones. Thank you for allowing me to see You work in others the life changing message of the gospel. Amen.
