Is a vocation supposed to be the fullness of our being, something related to our soul and our (hopefully) everlasting life in Christ, or is it something that simply facilitates our discovery of our own place in God's plan and how to best live out His will here on earth? A person's vocation is what God would like him to be, and it affects everything he is, the way he lives this life and his reward in the life to come.
