Contact a Vocation Director
The people who are in the best position to be helpful to those who are considering a religious career or lay ministry are vocation directors. Their job is to counsel men and women about the requirements for this kind of commitment. They can suggest reading materials, arrange for visitations, answer questions and provide the spiritual guidance candidates need.
Every diocese has a vocation director who can provide information about religious communities for men and women as well as information about the diocesan priesthood.
