The Lord is near to those he loves.

Even when times are bad,
they will have plenty.

But the wicked are like the leaves
you throw into the fire in the fall.
They look so beautiful one day,
and then they are gone in a puff of smoke.

The wicked hold on tight to what they have,
and it is taken away.

But those who are good
are happy to share all that God has given them,
and God blesses them all the more.

Wicked people will lose everything,
those who love God will gain the world.
