Did God Know Adam And Eve Were Going To Sin?
God knows everything, even before it happens, so he knew that Adam and Eve were going to sin. Still, God was very disappointed with what Adam and Eve did. But because God loved them (and because he loves us), he made a way for the sin to be forgiven. God's plan was to send Jesus to die on the cross for Adam's, Eve's and our sins. By trusting in Christ, we can have eternal life.
Long ago, before he made the world, God chose us to be his very own. He did this because of what Christ would do for us. He decided then to make us holy in his eyes, without a single fault. We stand before him covered with his love. His plan has always been to adopt us into his own family. He would do this by sending Jesus Christ to die for us. And he did this because he wanted to! (Ephesians 1:4-5)

Note to Parents
The knowledge that God knows everything can give your children a sense of security. Children can't do anything that will surprise God. He may be happy or disappointed, but he won't be surprised. Also, be aware that your children may not understand what the word penalty means. So be prepared to offer a simple explanation.
