Audio Adrenaline

With a total of seven studio albums, Audio Adrenaline is approaching sales of more than 3 million and has garnered 4 Grammy Award nominations and multiple Dove Awards. Last year's project, "Lift", generated three No. 1 singles, including the hit, "Ocean Floor," which crossed multiple formats and topped the AC and CHR charts, a first-time feat for AA. That milestone gave the band a career total of 17 No. 1 songs, including "Big House," which was named the CCM No. 1 Song of the Decade for the 1990s.

Audio Adrenaline has continued to build a growing fan base over the years, and that exposure was magnified in 2001 through the band's stint on the Festival Con Dios Tour, the traveling outdoor festival Audio Adrenaline co-headlined with Newsboys and the O.C. Supertones. The tour was highlighted in media outlets across the US, and was featured in a Newsweek cover story. In 2002, the band was again asked to co-headline the second outing of the Festival Con Dios with tobyMac, MercyMe, and Out Of Eden.

The concept of making a global impact for Christ is not a new one for Audio Adrenaline members Mark Stuart, Will McGinniss, Ben Cissell and Tyler Burkum. Their focus has always touched on themes of missions and outreach. In an effort to encourage kids toward action, they have partnered with MercyMe to form a foundation called The Go Foundation. The Go Foundation highlights 10 to 15 "under-the-radar" missions' organizations the bands want to help bring exposure to.

Did you know? Did you know that Audio Adrenaline was first known as A-180 ? At Kentucky Christian College, A-180 made a name for itself locally. The school was booking them almost every weekend and the group recorded two albums while at the college. Bob Herdman offered two songs he had written ("My God" and "DC-10") and asked the guys to write the music. Bob paid for studio time to record the songs with part of the money he had from his army college bill. "My God" was originally recorded for $800 (under the band name Bob had come up with: "Audio Adrenaline") and sent out to radio stations on a compilation CD. "My God" reached number five on the hard rock charts and had caught the attention of ForeFront Records President, Dan Brock. He called the band and offered them a record deal based on that one song, but the deal was for "Audio Adrenaline", which really wasn't a band. About three months later the group decided that this was the ministry God was calling them to. So Bob joined the band, Mark's brother, David, left to focus on his new family and AA moved to Nashville. The rest is history!
