Nathanael's Creed

Nathanael's Creed is a contemporary Christian band with several recordings and many years of experience. Their music can be classified as "adult contemporary," but within it lies a wide range of influences, including classic rock, jazz, blues, classical sacred, contemporary praise & worship, and acoustic roots music. Their music, for the most part, is all original and it's about the struggles and glories of life and faith. This isn't bubble gum Christianity-it's real music that reflects the real lives of people of faith, complete with strained relationships with others and God, moments of despair, frustration, prayer and solitude, and instances of sheer joy and excitement. Through it all, the band members' faith in God takes center stage.

"Our music describes real people in real life situations, challenges we're faced with, questions we ponder, and how we react to what God demands of us," says percussionist Pat Dillender. "The message is that no matter how often we fail, there is always the opportunity of redemption and the absolute power of God's unconditional love."

"This is not 'in your face' Christianity," says keyboardist/composer Phil Cooper, "Our message is about how God and Jesus are there for us in our daily lives and how we sometimes struggle with seeing that. We openly deal with our need for them and with our salvation through them. And our musical styles are varied, which allows us to touch many different people no matter where they are in their faith walk or what they are going through."
