Is Everything Possible For God?

What is the bible passage that says "anything is possible to one who has faith"? Or "all things are possible with God"? I can't find it.

Ummm...somewhere in the back?

Actually – the entire Bible (all 73 Books from Genesis to Revelation), teaches us that “everything is possible (in God)” for those who are faithful.

The exact verse you are searching for sounds like a combination of a few popular verses. Let’s take a look at a few of them.

First, the famous line uttered by the angel Gabriel at the Annunciation (when Mary was told that she would conceive and bear a Son, Jesus, through the power of the Holy Spirit). It comes from Luke 1:37 and reads, “…for nothing is impossible with God.”

The second verse that sounds like the one you are looking for comes to us from Christ, Himself, as we hear Him assure us that, “Everything is possible to one who has faith.” That verse is found in the Gospel of Mark 9:23.

We see similar promises by Jesus scattered throughout the Gospels speaking about God’s power and His faithfulness and about our ability to do amazing and seemingly “impossible” things through God.

Read, for instance, His words from Matthew 17:20, “He said to them, ‘Because of your little faith. Amen, I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.’’”

The truth is that God is limitless, we are the ones who put limitations on God and on His love, in the way that we do and do not allow Him to work in our lives and in this world.

One important thing to remember, though, is that God is not a genie. All things are possible, yes, but we must be FAITHFUL. If what we are attempting, desiring, etc. is not consistent with God’s will or stems more from our personal desires than His, that is not faithfulness on our part. That’s actually a pretty good test of our motives and desires if, everyday, we stop and survey what and who direct our motivations, the world or God.

I hope this helped.
