Love Me Tender: Leader Guidelines

Objective:

Introduce the youth to 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 and open a discussion on the understanding of 'Christian Love.'

Group Ages:

13 – 25 years

Equipment Needed:

  1. 1 Activity Sheet per participant
  2. 1 pencil
  3. Optional clipboard as a backing for the activity sheets

Pre-Activity Set-Up:

Nil

Directions:

  1. Divide the youth into groups.
  2. Distribute the 'Love Me Tender' activity sheet and a pencil to each participant (you can have the youth volunteer to distribute them for you).
  3. Read out the activity to the group.
  4. Assign 20 minutes for the activity.

After the activity, get a youth to read 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 and encourage the groups to discuss the Christian concept of love.
